With hundreds of miles of trails, the internationally recognized summer RAGBRAI event, and the scenic Iowa countryside to traverse - what better state than here to get out and pedal your way to a healthy lifestyle! Iowa's county conservation boards manage 46 limestone-surfaced trails, 53 hard-surfaced trails and 42 trails recognized for mountain biking! Stay tuned.....it won't be long until you find many of them listed on this website - in the meantime, you can find a more complete listing of trails in Iowa at the site offered by the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

The Iowa Department of Transportation maintains a great web page with all sorts of maps and links to additional biking information in Iowa.

Additionally, the Iowa Bicycle Coalition provides safety tips and promotes Iowa cycling as safe & enjoyable recreation AND transportation.
