Western Iowa - Connect to Fun!
Funded in part by Western IA Tourism Region
Welcome
Bienvenue! Welcome to the French Icarian Village in Adams County, Iowa. The French Icarian Village is a living history museum being developed by the French Icarian Colony Foundation on 33.69 acres of original Icarian land in southwest Iowa that authentically tells the story of Icaria.

Come join us at the Village just 3 miles east of Corning. This historical site features the restored refectory (dining hall with a modern commercial kitchen), the schoolhouse, and the cemetery of the longest-lived non-religious utopian society in America (1848-1898).

You are invited to tour this beautiful site, to experience school in a one-room schoolhouse, or to rent any part of the village for your family events, class reunions, etc. Join us for the annual May Tea, the Paul Gauthier Golf Outing, and the Fête du Mais.
