Benton County Nature Center


Benton County Nature Center hosts many indoor and outdoor events throughout 

the year. This facility is equipped with several displays, live animals and activities 

for children and adults. On average, BCCB serves students and members

of the public through in-school visits, field trips, and public programs.


The Nature Center is located on the southwestern edge of Rodgers Park and is the 

main office for Benton County Conservation. Visit us on Facebook or our website for

The offices and Nature Center are located near Rodgers Park on the corner of 

57th St. Trail and 20 Ave. Drive, 5 miles northwest of Vinton.





Features

The Benton County Nature Center is home to the Director's and Naturalists' offices. The Nature Center has live educational animals and interactive displays for all ages. Outside it offers a nature play scape, trails, fire ring, bird watching, creek and wetland for all to enjoy.

Benton County Conservation offers various public programs at the Nature Center and other Benton County properties. Please check our Facebook for upcoming programming and events.



Operating Hours & Seasons

The inside is generally open to public Monday and Friday 9am to 3:30pm, however it is best to call to ensure we haven't been called out elsewhere! Also, available by appointment 319-472-4942.

The outdoor playscape is open all seasons from 6am to 9pm.
