Popp Access is 76 acres of flood plain forest located just west of Hudson.  The park includes a large parking lot,  a small picnic area and nearby access to Black Hawk Creek.  The area supports prime white tailed deer habitat as well as the needed resources to support turkeys.  The grounds just inside the park boundary near the parking are well maintained and mowed.  This area is a common stop off for people wishing to spend some time outdoors and enjoy habitat found near Hudson.
In this area the Black Hawk frequently comes out of its banks during intense periods of rain and therefore,  tree species and other forms of vegetation found here must be suited for survival during prolonged periods of high water.  Hikers through the area will encounter woodland mammals as well as numerous song birds.

Park boundaries may not be clearly marked in all locations within the park so please be aware of park boundaries and respect private property.

Location

As you travel west out of Hudson on Zanetta Road you will see the park entrance roughly 1 mile west of Hudson.
