The Eco Center is now under construction. We are anticipating a spring 2012 opening!

The education about, and history of our Mississippi River and all the life that it supports draws tourists from all over the country and the world. Our state-of-the-art Eco Tourism Center will educate and entertain tourists, as well as provide an excellent place for local schools, families, clubs, retired people and singles to explore our great Mississippi River heritage.

The Eco Tourism Center will include:

• Clinton County Tourism Center
• Environmental Education Center
• Blue Heron Eco Cruise Launch
• Banquet Facility
• Meeting Space
• Classroom/Theater
• Camp Store
• Cafe

Exhibits will Include:

• 8,000 gallon aquarium
• Wildlife of the river eco-system
• Local river history
• Human uses of the river--boating, fishing, hunting, barge traffic, industry

1st Annual Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center Bass Tournament Four area charity bass tournaments have joined forces to create the Greater Quad City Charity Bass Tournament Trail. Points will be awarded based on the order of finish (100 points for 1st, 99 points for 2nd, 98 points for 3rd, and so on) to each participating boat in each tournament. Points will be totaled following the final event and the top three teams will receive gift certificates and trophies. Points will be awarded to and totaled by boater listed on the entry forms.
