Description
The Bunkhouse is an approximate 1/4-mile hike from the main road to an area that is referred to as the "Back Valley". It is a beautiful, isolated getaway spot for those who really want to escape the stress of everyday life for a couple of nights or a couple weeks.
Electricity, small refrigerator, hotplate, toaster, and a coffee pot are available for use. A limited amount of firewood is provided for your stay. Additional firewood may be purchased or packed in. Water must be carried in; hydrants are available seasonally in the main campground.. Bedding, towels, and kitchen utensils are not provided.
A pit latrine located near the Bunkhouse is available for use. The modern temperature-controlled shower facility located in the Nature Center (year-round) or campground shower building (seasonally) may also be used by Bunkhouse guests.
Hiking trails, an observation tower and a swinging bridge are all nearby. Cross country skiing is a favorite winter activity.
The rental cost for this facility is $50/night payable by Visa or Mastercard. We are unfortunately unable to accept Discover.
