Voyageur Canoe Christening

Our new Voyageur canoes “The Marquette and The Joliet” will be launched after a presentation on the history of the craft they represent and their usefulness in our county’s education program. Hour-long excursions will be offered throughout the day as long as interest holds and light allows. Paddlers are welcome to bring their own craft or rent one and form a flotilla around the larger craft. An award will be presented to the person wearing the most period correct (1600-1800) outfit.
