Ahart Rudd Natural Resource Area

This 92 acre area was donated by Louis and Clara Ahart of Dow City, Iowa, in 1989.  It was developed as a wildlife habitat and public hunting area.

Location

Take Highway 30 west through Dow City, then turn south on the first gravel road (185th St.) 1.5 miles to site.

Features

Twenty acres of reestablished prairie, several tree plantings, and a seven acre public fishing pond make this a quality resource providing habitat for pheasants, quail, deer, songbirds, and waterfowl.
