Newcom Dale Riggleman Natural Resource Area


In 1998, this 132 acre area was donated to the Crawford County Conservation Board by Richard, Paul, and Beth Riggleman.  There are 110 acres of native prairie and 30 acres of native timber which surrounds a 6 acre pond stocked with bluegill, catfish, and bass.  Public fishing, hunting, and horseback riding are allowed on the area. In 2011, an additional 16.31 acres of public timberland was acquired.

Location

This area is located 4 miles northeast of Deloit, Iowa, on Boyer Blvd. in Stockholm township of Crawford County.

Features

Public fishing, hunting, and horseback riding are allowed in this 148.31 acre area.  Native prairie, native timber, and a 6 acre pond and dam are great attractions to wildlife and bird watchers alike.
