Kobville Shelter Kobville Shelter
Kobville Park has a small shelter that overlooks a native prairie and oak savanna area.  There is a small grill located near the shelter for cooking.

Little River Bait Shop Little River Bait Shop
The Little River Bait Shop is owned by the Decatur County Conservation Board but operated by Elmer Easton.  The bait shop offers a full line of tackle along with camping supplies.  Paddle boats may be rented out per hour through the bait shop.  Live bait such as small and large minnows, night crawlers, chubs, leaches, etc. may be purchased here also.  Snacks, pop, firewood, and ice may also be purchased here.  There is also a pay phone near the bait shop.  Please contact the bait shopt for more information on prices and fishing reports at 641-446-8909.

The Decatur County Conservation Board has 3 log-style cabins.  These rustic cabins are a great way to experience the outdoors without having to pull a camper or pitch a tent.  All three cabins are one room, handicap accessible and have a patio facing the lake.  Each cabin has two bunk beds and a fold-out couch.  Cabins alos come equipped with lights, electricity, a microwave, hot plate, refrigerator, and heater/air conditioning.  A water hydrant is located just outside the door, along with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill.  Bathroom/shower facilities are nearby.  All campers need to bring is bedding, pillows, and cooking/eating utensils.  The maximum number of occupants is six (6).  Camper must be at least 21 years of age to rent a cabin. 

Keg beer is NOT allowed in the cabin area.  No smoking allowed in the cabins.  NO PETS are allowed in the cabins! Cabin area curfew is 10:30PM for non-registered guests.  Maximum number of vehicles per cabin is three.  No tents or RV campers are allowed in the cabin area. 

A $100.00 per cabin security deposit will be due with the reservation request.  To insure that a cabin will be reserved, the security deposit, completed reservation request and responsibility agreement, and full rental fee must be recieved within seven (7) days.  Checks must be written seperately to expedite possible refund of deposit. 

If you decide to cancel, 50% of rental fees will be returned if cancellation is recieved 10 days prior to reservation date.  NO REFUND of rental fees if the reservation is cancelled within 10 days of your reservation date. 

The rental fee is $45.00 per night per cabins.  Single night reservations will be accepted year-round.  **Maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights.  **Payments in cash, personal check or money order.  NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Little River Recreation Area has two shelters that can be reserved or used on a first come first serve basis.  The first is an open shelter that has two grills that can be used for cooking.  There is a pit toilet close by along with a playground for kids to play.  The new shelter is an open shelter with a fully enclosed eating area for those windy days, the indoor area is by reservation only.  There is a large grill for cooking and a great view of the lake.  This shelter has a playground, beach, boatramp, baitshop and pit toilet all within short walking distance.

A modern shower/restroom facility was constructed in 2009 at Slip Bluff Park to accomodate the users that are camping in the park.  There are two showers available on both the men and womens sides.  Flushable toilets are also available.

Slip Bluff Park has two shelters that can be reserved or used on a first come first serve basis.  The overlook shelter a great place to view the Grand River located below the bluff.  The east shelter is more secluded and is a great area for family gatherings.  Both shelter are open and have grills placed outside for cooking.  Pit toilets are located close by and there is also a modern restroom facility located in the campground area.
