is named after Elba Shewmaker, former Decatur County Treasurer, whose family donated the land for this park. Shewmaker park has a canoe access to the Grand River Water Trail.
Shewmaker Park is located 1/2 mile south and 1 mile east of the town of Grand River.
This beautiful park overlooks the Grand River and is known for its great location for the "HOT" fishing hole. A large shelter (no electricity) surrounded by shade trees with a pit toilet and fire pit makes for a great picnicking spot.
