What are the camping fees at Slip Bluff Park?

Camping fees at Slip Bluff Park are $15 for a tent site and $20 for an electric site.

Can I reserve a campsite at Slip Bluff Park or Little River Recreation Area?

No, all campsites are available on a first come, first served basis only.  You can "hold" a site for up to two nights by parking a vehicle, camper or tent on the site and paying the full rate for each night.  The site must be occupied after the two nights.  Campers can only hold one campsite. 

General Questions

Can I hunt at Slip Bluff Park

Yes, hunting is allowed on a portion of Slip Bluff Park.  The east 1/2 of the park is open to public hunting while hunting is not allowed in the developed area of the park (west 1/2), around the campground, shelters or lake.  Please follow the signs or contact the Decatur County Conservation Board at 641-446-7307 if you have any questions.

Are boats allowed on Slip Bluff Lake?

Yes, there is a concrete boat ramp located on the south end of the lake.  Only electric motors are allowed on the lake.

Reserving a Facility

How do I reserve one of the shelters at Slip Bluff Park?

To check availability and reserve one of the shelters at Slip Bluff go on the Mycountyparks.com website, choose Decatur County, click on the facilities tab, from there you can see the shelters and the availability of them.  Both the Overlook Shelter and the East Shelter rent for $15 per day.
