The Floyd County Conservation Board is located in north-central Iowa and is home to the Fossil & Prairie Park Preseve and Center. In addition, Floyd County Conservation manages 25 individual parks, preserves, natural areas and river accesses that encompass some 1,616 acres. The Winnebago, Shell Rock and Cedar Rivers cascade from NW to SE across Floyd County and provide numerous water recreation opportunities throughout the county.
