Hobart Wildlife Area


The Hobart Wildlife Area is a 66 acre wildlife management area located next to the North Raccoon River.  It is nearly all forested with public hunting opportunity for deer, wild turkeys, and squirrels.

Location

The Hobart Wildlife Area is located six miles north of Scranton on N65, or five miles west of Churdan on E19 and four miles south on N65.

Features

  • 66 acre wildlife management area.  Comprised mainly of upland oak/hickory timber.  8 acres of cropground adds habitat diversity.
  • Open to public hunting.  Provides hunting opportunity for deer, wild turkey, squirrels, and furbearers.

This areas are open all year and 24 hours a day.
