Koloni Bike Rentals

There are three rack locations - One is at Briggs Woods Park and the other two are located in Webster City at Riverside Park and Nakomis Park. These bikes are controlled by Bluetooth technology and users must download an application on their smartphones. The application works with iPhone and Android phones and there are instructions posted on the racks, and steps to follow right on the bikes themselves. Bikes are mainly sized for teens and adults. After the user has downloaded the Koloni Share app, they must create an account and input a method of payment. After that, simply scan the QR code on the back of the bike and you’re set to enjoy your ride! The bikes are equipped with GPS tracking technology. Once the user is finished with their ride, all they have to do is line the lock back up with a slot in the rack for the lock to close around, and hit, “end ride” on the app. Users are urged to ensure this is done properly to avoid unnecessary charges, and to be sure the bike can be available for the next user. All bikes must be returned to the rack after use and failure to do so could result in extra penalties. Bikes should not be left on trails or anywhere else throughout the city or neighboring towns. All users will be asked to agree to terms and conditions upon creation of their account. Service ends at 9pm each day. The program is available April through October and possibly longer depending on weather.

Things to do while you're here!

Location

We are located at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail in Hamilton County, Iowa, two and one-half miles south of Webster City off of Highway 17. The park is 550 acres and is ideally located, with convenient access to all parts of Hamilton County as well as adjacent counties. Highway 20 offers clear access to the east and west, while Interstate 35 is located about 12 miles east of highway 17.

The Johnson Addition to Briggs Woods Park, located 1.5 miles southeast of Webster City on 238th Street, is 60 acres of riparian woodland, reconstructed prairie and remnant bur oak savanna. The 17 acre reconstructed prairie serves as a production site for local ecotype seed that is used on other Natural Resource Areas. Magnificent open-grown bur oak trees intermingled with prairie grasses and wildflowers can be found on the savanna. Nature observers will experience a wide diversity of habitat types in close proximity. Refuge - no hunting allowed.
