Old Town Conservation Area




This 341 acre area lies in the Loess Hills adjacent to the National Park Service (NPS) identified Loveland Special Landscape Area (SLA). The Old Town Conservation Area features a Loess Hills little bluestem prairie and Eastern Great Plains bur oak woodlands. A network of hiking trails, scenic vistas, and abundant populations of deer and turkey provide a variety of public recreation opportunities.




Location

The Old Town Conservation Area is located 3 miles SE of Missouri Valley. Follow Loess Hills Trail south from Missouri Valley. Cross the Boyer River and turn left on Lima Trail. Follow Lima Trail to the junction of Mesa Place. 

Features

Parking is available in two locations along Lima Trail and Mesa Place county roads.
