Humboldt County Conservation is located in north central Iowa and manages 14 individual parks, natural areas, trails and prairies - encompassing over 400 acres across the county. Home to large sections of the cross-county Three Rivers Trail, and the east and west forks of the Des Moines River - there are plentiful opportunities for all outdoor recreation enthusiasts!

Facilities in Humboldt CountyFacilities available for public use within the Humbolt County park system include: Campgrounds, trails, disc golf course, open & enclosed shelters. We offer the Oxbow Lodge which is a facility for rent that is great for family reunions, wedding receptions and graduation celebrations. The Oxbow Lodge is located 1 mile west of Humboldt on Highway 3 and sits on the bank of the Des Moines River. Rental rates for a full day are $150. A rental agreement must be signed and returned along with a non-refundable $50 deposit before your rental date is secured.
