Rentals, Permits and Fees

Equipment Rentals
*All rental reservations can be made by calling our office at (563) 652-3783.

Snowshoes 
Our snowshoes are FREE to use at the center during regular business hours. Weekend rentals are $5.00 (pick up Friday and drop off Monday). Plastic and aluminum snowshoes are available. A minimum of 4" of snow is required. 

Ice Skates
Our ice skates are FREE to use at the center during regular business hours. Weekend rentals are $5.00 (pick up Friday and drop off Monday). A minimum of 4" of ice is required. The small pond in front of the Center is a great place for kids to learn/practice ice skating. 

Live Trap 
Medium to Large trap (groundhog/raccoon appropriate) rental is $5.00 per day with a $75.00 deposit.

Viacon Seeder 
Rental is $30.00 per day. 3 point hitch required. No delivery; arrange pick up.

Education Materials 

Park Packs 
Our park packs are loaded with activities, tools and information on a variety of topics. The backpacks are free to check out for 1 or 2 weeks.

Program Material 
Teachers and organizations can borrow environmental education supplies upon request.

Park Fees 

Boat Dock Rentals
80+ dock slips at Spruce Creek Park
Currently, there are no docks available. To get on a waiting list for a boat dock, contact our office (563-652-3783) with your boat ID #, name, phone number and address. Boat length limit is 36 feet. Open docks will be drawn in March of each year.

Camping - 2023 prices
South Sabula Lake Park - $25/night
Spruce Creek Park - $25/night
All sites have 50 amp electrical hookups, fire ring, and a picnic table. Visit South Sabula Lake or Spruce Creek park pages for more details.

Firewood
$5.00/bundle at Spruce Creek Park & South Sabula Lake Park.

Transient Boat Dock 
There are 5 transient docks at Spruce Creek Harbor that rent for $25 per night with electricity. Boat length limit is 36 feet.  

Dump Fee
$5.00 dump fee at Spruce Creek Park & South Sabula Lake Park. 

Non- camper Shower Fee
$5.00 non-camper shower fee at Spruce Creek Park & South Sabula Lake Park. 



Permit Forms 

Special Use Permit
For any event held on county conservation property requiring board approval. Submit at least one month before event. Download and return form to our office.

Joinerville Camping Permit


Shelter Reservation Permit 
For the private use of picnic shelters at Spruce Creek and South Sabula Lake Park. $25.00 Fee. Submit two weeks before event. Download and return form to our office.
Reservation also available online HERE. 

Alcohol Permit
For the allowance of alcohol at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Submit at least one month before event. Download and return form to our office. $25 non-refundable deposit. 

Geocache Placement Permit
For the allowance of geocache placement on Jackson County Conservation property. Submit at least one month for board approval before posting. Download and return form to our office.

Fishing Tournament Permit 
For the allowance of tournaments on Jackson County Conservation property. Submit at least one month prior to event for board approval. Download and return form to our office.

Youth Group Camping Permit
For a reduced youth group camping rate at Spruce Creek and South Sabula Lakes Park. Download and return form to our office.
