Celebrate Iowa Prairie Heritage Week by hiking a privately owned prairie remnant.Local prairie enthusiast Ray Hamilton will give us a tour of his prairie, giving a history of the land and highlighting rare species growing abundantly on the property.
To get to the prairie: head 4 miles East on 35th st (Codfish Hollow Rd). Turn left on 288th Ave and park near outbuildings.
