Learn about classic firearms from Randy Turner of Maquoketa. Randy will share examples of firearms and other items that were used in early settlement time through the mid 1900’s. A Civil War soldier’s firearm, a Wells Fargo padlock that helped protect the valuable cargo on the six-horse stagecoach, and a  “bankers pistol” will be some of the featured items during the program. Participants will be provided a timeline that highlights events in Hurstville and of the changing wildlife landscape in Iowa during the time period covered by the items featured during the program. The program is free and open to the public.This is not an open firearms show. Firearms other than those that are part of the presentation are not allowed on the premises.
