Spruce Creek Park, situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Enjoy boating, fishing, camping and more while enjoying the scenic views of the mighty Mississippi.

This 43-acre park offers a boat harbor, modern camping sites, showers and restrooms, shelters (shelters available for reservation), and playground equipment. 

 

All sites are first come first serve. No reservations for campsites.

No ATVs or Golf Carts allowed in park.

  • 80+ Campsites - all with 50 amp electric - no reservations; all sites are first come first serve
    • Paved sites - cost is $25 per night

    • Gravel Sites - cost is $25 per night

  • Firewood - cost is $5 per bundle
  • 5 Transient Docks - cost is $25 per night with electricity (maximum boat length is 36 feet, docks are 20 feet long)

  • Boat Docks - 87 dock slips are leased out annually (To get on the waiting list for a boat slip, call 563-652-3783)

Operating Hours & Seasons

2024: opening date slated for May 1 this year. 

 

Campground is open April or May - October (pending weather and river levels for opening/closing weekends).

Shower building is opened after April 15 - and closes by October 15 (weather pending). Water is turned off October 15 - April 15. 

Park is open to visitors 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Campers only after 10:30 PM.

Campground attendants are available May - September.

 



Closures

Campground is closed November - March.

Note: When water levels are high, the creek side and river shore sites are the first to close with water levels at 14' 3" and the entire park closes and all facilities at 15'. The docks can handle levels up to 18' before watercraft must be removed.
