Leafless trees might seem impossible to ID, but there are plenty of other ways to set them apart. In this free program, participants will learn about twig, bud, and bark ID with an intro indoors, and a long exploratory hike to learn hands-on. We'll be both on and off trail and often on uneven terrain. Participants should plan to bring warm gloves, hand warmers if needed, suitable warm layers, and warm outdoor footwear.
