Kubicek Pits is a 54 acre public hunting area. It is a former gravel pit area and offers public hunting,wetland and upland areas. It adjoins the 112 acre East Fork Wildlife Management Area which is jointly managed by the Iowa DNR and the Kossuth County Conservation Board. This area offers public hunting, walk in access to the East Fork Des Moines River, river bottom timber areas, reseeded native prairie, and seasonal wetlands.
Location
These two areas are located about 6.5 miles south of Algona along HWY 169
