Plum Creek Timber is a 74 acre woodland tract. It is a public hunting area but can not be directly accessed by a road. Permission must be obtained from an adjacent landowner, or it may be accessed from the East Fork Des Moines River. This area is divided into two sections by the river.

Plum Creek timber is located about 3 miles northeast of Algona, or about 1.5 miles East of Smith Lake.
