How do I Iook at all the available dates for a specific facility?
To search all the available dates for a specific facility, you will first need to become a MEMBER of MyCountyParks.com by creating a simple user profile - there are no costs associated with becoming a member. Once a member, click on the "Register Now!" link at the top of the web page. You may then check out the availability calendars for any of the facilities that are available for online reservations.

I can't reserve a facility, what should I do?
If you are having trouble reserving a facility, make sure you have an account and are logged in. If you continue to have problems, please email us conservation@linncounty.org or call us 319-892-6450.

How do I set up an account?
The first step is to click on the "Register Now" link at the top right corner of the home page. Use the following steps to create your account:
1) Enter a username (no restrictions)
2) Enter password (password must between 4-8 characters and contain at least one upper case alpha letter, one lower case alpha letter one number and no special characters)
3) Enter the personal information required (required information has a red * next to it)
4) Enter billing information
5) You must select the County in which you are interested (Linn)
6) Check/uncheck the box to receive e-updates
7) Click create account

How do I make a reservation?
LinnCountyParks.com is affiliated with the state-wide county park website, MyCountyParks.com. You can reserve facilities for many counties in Iowa. In order to make reservations with a Linn County facility, follow these instructions:
Use the orange menu/navigation bar, this is specific to Linn County (the dark brown at the top is the state-wide information).
On the orange menu/navigation bar, select the park you want.
Select "facilities" on the orange line.
Find your facility and click Reserve Online. In order to make a reservation you must have an account.
Sign in with your user name & password or if you don't have an account, create one (need help with making an accounty, visit the FAQ)
You can check availability of your facility by scrolling down beneath "view availability” (If you arrow down on this it will allow you to look up to 2-years in advance) If you are unable to scroll to the date, then fill in the date field you are interested in.
Once you have a date selected, click Confirm Availability
Fill in the fields until you come to the payment page

If I can't reserve a campsite online, how do I do it?
Most of the campsites available in Linn County Parks are non-reservable in advance. There are some exceptions. Pinicon Ridge Group Camp, Morgan Creek Group Camp, and Squaw Creek A Loop are reservable in advance through MyCountyParks.com. There are additional fees for reserving campsites in advance.
For all other campsites, the following reservation rules apply:
First Come – First Serve
1) Campsites cannot be reserved or held for others.
2) A camping unit must occupy the campsite when registering for a campsite.
3) A camping party can only register for their own campsite.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid, unless the following situations occur:
• The National Weather Service has issued severe weather and/or travel conditions
• We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event
All requests for refunds must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (319) 892-6450.

What if I need to make a change to my reservation?
In order to make any modification to an existing reservation, the request must be two weeks prior to the original date. If the request is a date change, the new date must be within six months of the existing date. A date change must be used for the same type of facility in a Linn County Park. All reservation modifications must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (319) 892-6450. Any modifications to an existing reservation will be assessed a $25 administrative fee.

What do I have to do to clean up a facility?
Please note the following when cleaning a facility you've reserved:
- All directional signs must be placed on stakes/supports. They cannot be attached to any park or highway signs/posts.
- The entire floor should be swept - dirt or spills should be mopped up.
- Wipe down all appliances, sinks, counters.
- Make sure all items you brought in are removed from the facility (appliances, cupboards, draws, etc).
- Place tables and chairs on cart and return to storage room.
- Close all windows and doors.
- Shut off ceiling fans.
- Empty refuse containers from restrooms into bags; pick up all outside litter. Park staff will remove 5 bags of trash. If additional bags are left, there a $2.00/bag charge that will be held from the deposit.
- Shut doors to any fireplaces and let the fire burn itself out (do not use water on the fire).
- Do not throw or use rice, confetti, or bird seed.
- Please having building cleaned and vacated by the appropriate closing time.
