Lyon County Conservation is located in the extreme northwest corner of Iowa - bordered by the Missouri River on the west and the state of Minnesota on the north. The Lyon CCB currently manages 14 parks, wildlife areas and river accesses encompassing some 1,921 acres across the county. The 282 acre Lake Pahoja Recreation Area is one of Lyon County's favorite regional destinations.

Facilities in Lyon CountyAmongst the many facilities available throughout the Lyon CCB park system, a few of the features at the Lake Pahoja area include: 6 open picnic shelters with modern restroom facilities and drinking water available, three playgrounds, two volleyball courts, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits. Two enclosed lodges are also available -- each containing four to six picnic tables, a fireplace, and outdoor pedestal grills.
