Silent Auction Items

50 Years of Conservation

Posted:4/13/2016 Plymouth

In 1966 the Plymouth County Conservation Board was established.  During the last 50 years the conservation board has hired employees, acquired parks and wildlife area's, all to help make Plymouth County a place for people to enjoy the outdoors.

To celebrate this milestone, the Plymouth County Conservation Board will be having an open house at Hillview Recreation Area on September 11, 2016 from 1pm-4pm. Guests will have a chance to listen to a program about the resident elk herd, take a hike through the woods, try out the canoes and kayaks, visit with past and present conservation board and staff members or take a gator ride around the park.  We will even have a bounce house for the kids!  All the activities will center around and in our Center for Outdoor Learning.

Food will be provided by Plymouth County Pheasants Forever, Small Town Sportsman, and Timmy's Catering Services. A special dessert will be provided by Ms. Karyn Dreeszen.  A silent auction will take place during the open house.  We have had some very generous friends donate some great items.  T.K.O Sheep is providing half a lamb, butchered and papered.  Deer Run Golf Course of Hinton gave us 18 holes of golf, with carts, for 4 and Pen -Art Custom Designs(Rick and Sue Ellison) of Sioux City are providing some great items made of elk antler. Bottle Stoppers, pens and turkey strikers are just a few of the items.  We have many more wonderful auction items, please see the list on this page.  Check back often as we will be adding to the list!!

Money raised will help fund the playground  project at Hillview Park.  For more information please call Diana at 712-947-4270.
