Research confirms the health benefits of time spent in nature, everything from improving mental health to lowering your blood pressure and fighting cancer. Explore the ancient healing path of Shinrin Yoku, or Japanese forest bathing, with Dr. Suzanne Bartlett Hackenmiller, Integrative Medicine physician. This gentle, mindful walk will invite you to use your senses to enhance your well-being in the naturally healing environment of Jester Park. Breathe, relax, see, listen, touch, smell, taste, share and engage. Be ready to discover the refreshing and often emotionally moving medicine of the forest.

Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes appropriate for the weather. This is not a hike; the distance covered will be no more than a mile at a very slow pace.

Pre-registration is required; deadline is September 22. Minimum age 12. Fee: $15.
