These programs are held the first Tuesday of each month. The nature program will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Jester Park Lodge. An optional luncheon follows the program at noon in which pre-registration is required. Luncheon registration November 4. The cost of the catered lunch by The Radish is $10. Lunch menu - oven baked chicken,
parsley potatoes, vegetable, salad, bread, and dessert.
The 2017 Iowa Honey Queen, Carly Raye, will talk about
honeybees, honey, beekeeping, and beyond! Participants will learn not only
about how beekeepers keep bees and how honey is made, but also how bees make
mummies, the color of mystery honey, and the strange use of beehives in
medieval times! Come learn why we want to save the bees, and how we can make
that happen!
