Thank you for your interest in the Jester Park Equestrian Center Riding Lessons. The program is designed for students that are interested in not only becoming a horseback rider but a horseman or horsewoman!
We aim to create a fun, safe environment where students can learn a solid foundation of safety, confidence, and horse knowledge. We invite any and all students starting as young as 8-years-old. Lessons will be taught with an emphasis on safety for the students, as well as their equine counterparts. Over the 8 week session, you can watch your child learn horse behavior, how to sit correctly, and effectively cue their horses as they ride. Students will also learn how to become capable with skills of caring for their horse on the ground. Lessons are an hour and a half in length and ride time will vary depending on lesson theme, but generally there will be a minimum of 45 minutes of ride time.
Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 6 students to each class period, allowing for significant amounts of one-on-one attention from the instructor. In classes with more than three students there will also always be an assistant that helps with the safety and progression of each student’s learning.
If your child must miss a lesson due to a prior obligation you must inform your instructor at least 48 hours before their lesson. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture the lesson. If your child must miss a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, such as an illness, please let us know as soon as possible. A make up lesson will be offered after the end of the session at their regularly scheduled lesson day and time. Please see the attach Cancellation Policy document below for full details.
