This site has electricity and is a graveled, back-in campsite nestled amongst mature oak and walnut trees.  The close proximity to Saylorville Lake makes this camp area a popular spot. 

Reservations must be made 3 days in advance of the date of reservation. For example to make a Saturday reservation, you must reserve the facility no later than Tuesday of that week.

We have a No Refund policy; however, if you need to cancel your reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule. Be sure to read the Facility Contract for details. 

Jester Park offers additional campsites, both electric and non-electric, that are available first come, first serve.


Location

Jester Park is located at 11407 NW Jester Park Drive, Granger, Iowa.

Camp site #126 is located in the upper loop of Camp Area #1,  follow the upper loop around to to the north and the site will be located on the right side of the road. 

Amenities

Water hydrants are located throughout the area.
Pit latrine is located just across the road,  or if you  chose, there is a shower house and restroom just a walk away, across the main road. 
A trash dumpster is provided at the entrance. 
Dump station located at the  main entrance to the park.
Firewood is avaialbe for purchase at $5/bundle during posted times.

Fees

Camping Rate: $22.00/per night
PAYABLE ON SITE TO PARK STAFF:  Additional Fee for camper with tent or tent with 2nd tent: $6.00/per night
Capacity: 6 persons maximum allowed to camp

Reservations may be made up to ONE YEAR to date in advance.

Minimum:  weekdays-1 night minimum; weekends -2 night minimum; holiday weekends-3 night minimum

Campgrounds are closed to vehicular traffic December 1 - March 31; therefore, campsites are not reservable for these dates.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Summer Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. (from daylight savings time in the spring until standard time in the fall).
Winter Hours: Sunrise to Sunset  (from standard time in the fall until daylight savings time in the spring).
Main gate closes at 10:30 p.m. Gates are not locked. 

Upon entering park after hours, camper may be stopped by ranger requesting their campsite number and name of the party that registered the site.

Closures

  • Reservations are not available October 16 through April 14.
  • Our gravel roads in camp areas are closed to vehicle traffic December 1 through March 31.
  • Youth groups and tenters allowed in primitive camping areas only.
  • Water and modern restroom / shower facilities are closed, approximately mid October to mid April.

OUT OF STATE FIREWOOD IS PROHIBITED.
