the night sky in a whole new way with the StarLab, portable planetarium program
at Hitchcock Nature Center, Saturday, August 12th! Join us inside the
Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center and climb inside the StarLab to
view the wonders of the night sky. Our naturalist, Kristen, will put her two
years of planetarium experience to work as she takes you on an adventure in
space.
We
will be hosting three, 30 minute sessions. Join us at 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. or
at 12:00 p.m. for this one of a kind experience. Pre-registration
is required by Wednesday, August 9th as space is limited. Please register for online for the session of your choice or call 712-545-3283 for details

There
is no fee for this event, free will donations will be accepted to support
continued programming opportunities in Pottawattamie County. Participants must
have a valid Pottawattamie County Park permit or purchase a $2.00 per vehicle
daily entrance pass. Daily passes may be
purchased with cash or check at the front entrance the day of the event. Annual
permits may be purchased for $10.00 from staff at any of our parks or at the
Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center during regular business hours.
While
this event is family friendly it is not pet friendly, please leave your canine
friends at home. Service animals are always welcome. Weather Permitting.
