Hitchcock Nature Center Overnight: 7th & 8th Grade Camp

Designed for kids who are entering 7th or 8th grade. Older campers will experience a guided overnight stay at Hitchcock Nature Center as they learn more about navigating the great outdoors. Explore the world of backpacking as we hike across Hitchcock Nature Center to set up our own camp for the night.

This year we will be offering two overnight camp options exploring two of our Pottawattamie County Parks. Camp is $75.00 per camper/ per camp session & campers may attend either session or both for the ultimate outdoor experience. Campers must provide their own sleeping bags & bring appropriate clothing. Our Overnight at Hitchcock Nature Center begins at 9:00 a.m. on July 20th & ends at noon on July 21st.

Please download our 2017 Information Packet, Camper Information Form, & Camper Waivers below and bring them on your first day of camp or return them via email to Rene Stroud, at rene.stroud@pottcounty-ia.gov.
