Diamond Lake Park is a 660 acre county park with a 98 acre lake that is managed by the Poweshiek County Conservation Board. 

Location

Diamond Lake Park is located 1/2 mile north of Montezuma on Highway 63.

Features

Diamond Lake Park features fishing, camping, hiking, biking, and a playground.  The facilities include two shower houses, three shelter houses, a fish cleaning station, boat ramp and dock, and hard surface trails for biking/hiking.  For additional information, please visit our website at:  www.poweshiekcountyparks.org


Operating Hours & Seasons

DIAMOND LAKE IS OPEN YEAR-AROUND.

CAMPING AT DIAMOND LAKE PARK IS PERMITTED ALL YEAR. THE FACILITIES WILL BE OPENED AND CLOSED WHEN THE WEATHER DICTATES  (Electricity and water will remain on year-around).

THE CONSERVATION BOARD HAS A SELF-REGISTRATION SYSTEM.  YOU MUST REGISTER AT ONE OF THE THREE BOOTHS AND DEPOSIT YOUR CAMPING FEES THERE.  THE CAMPING FEES ARE $17 PER NIGHT FOR AN ELECTRIC SITE AND $10.00 PER NIGHT FOR A PRIMITIVE SITE (no electricity).  

AS A REMINDER, ELECTRICITY WILL REMAIN ON YEAR-AROUND IN THE DIAMOND LAKE CAMPGROUNDS.  IF YOU ARE USING ELECTRICITY, YOU MUST SELF-REGISTER AND PAY THE $17.00 ELECTRIC RATE OR IF NOT USING ELECTRICITY PAY THE $10.00 PRIMITIVE SITE FEE.

 **** No reservations for camping are taken, the Diamond Lake campground is operated on  a first come - first serve basis.
