TEAM Day
McFarland Park, Story County
Saturday, October 21, 2017
Be a part of our TEAM (Trail Enhancement and Management) and help make improvements to county trail systems. All volunteers are asked to wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, and gloves and bring a water bottle. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. Work will include installing water bars (to divert water off trails in order to decrease erosion), trimming back vegetation, and leveling trail surfaces.
Registration is required by 4:00 p.m. the Thursday before each event to ensure enough tools and refreshments for everyone.
For any outdoor program, SCC recommends bringing a water bottle, wearing a hat and/or sunblock, using bug spray, and dressing for the weather. Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended for hiking. Our outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions are not favorable. In the event that SCC has to cancel a program, registered participants will be notified and a full refund will be issued.
