Boating at Three Mile Recreational Area For recreational boating opportunities Three Mile Lake is a great destination!! We have a 400 acre ski zone that is open to skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, etc. Boating is limited to outboard and inboard/outboard motorized boats only! Direct drive or inboard boats, jet boats, and jet skis are not allowed at Three Mile Lake.
Cabins at Three Mile Recreational Area Three Mile Recreation Area in Union County provides nine cabins for advanced reservations. These year-around rental cabins at the modern campground provide a genuine year-around attraction. The 14x18 foot log frame units are equipped with self-contained heating and air conditioning units, electricity, basic furnishings and sleeping accommodations for up to six people. Accessible showers, sinks and flush toilets are available nearby at a heated year-around shower house. For information on reserving these cabins, CLICK HERE.
Camping at Three Mile Recreational Area Three Mile Recreation Area has a total of 100 campsites. ALL SITES ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED THERE ARE NO CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS. Electrical sites are $20/night and non-electric sites are $15/night. Electric sites have graveled camping pads and 20/30/50 AMP service available. There are 3 water hydrants located throughout the campground just pull up next to the hydrant and fill up! There is a dump station located in the South Campground. For a spot to be considered occupied at Three Mile Lake the following MUST be done: 1. Have a vehicle/trailer/tent on the site. 2. Site must be paid for upon arrival and your receipt portion must be hung on the designated post for the site.
Canoeing & Kayaking at Three Mile Recreational Area Canoeing and Kayaking are popular activities on Three Mile Lake. Most paddling is done on the northern portion of the lake where it is a no wake zone. The Union County Conservation Board now has 8 canoes available for half or full day rental. The cost for canoe rental is $10 for a half day and $20 for a full day for the 1st canoe each canoe you rent after that is an additional $5.

Swimming at Three Mile Recreational Area We have a beach located by the main boat ramp of Three Mile Lake. It is open from daylight-10:00 P.M. daily.
