Turkeyfoot Prairie




137 acre area that is mostly prairie with a one wetland and a small stream.

Location

From Kensett head east on 410th St. for two miles then turn north or left on Quince Ave. for 1 mile then head west of 415th St continue around curve north to 420th St. turn right or east to parking area.

Features

This area is adjacent to Worth County  Lake and is mostly prairie with a small sedge meadow or fen, there are a couple of small tree and shrub plantings, there is also a wetland on a small stream running through the property.  This area offers good deer, turkey, pheasant, and waterfowl hunting opportunities.  There are also some unique plant communities worth observing.  To view an aerial photo of this area http://worthia.mygisonline.com/?pin=0726100018.  You will need to use the GIS tools to identify and view the entire property.
