Come explore and enjoy Page County
Page County Conservation Board invites you to explore and enjoy the diverse areas we
manage. The staff takes care of 898 acres which have been purchased or donated for
public use and wildlife habitat. If you’re into hiking and biking be sure to save some time
and transverse the 27 miles of the Wabash Trace right here in Page County. Visitors will
find Page County Conservation has three public hunting areas, four campgrounds, four
areas for hiking trails, six areas for fishing, seven picnic areas, limited equestrian trails, one
river access, wetland area and 25 acres of reconstructed prairie. To answer a campers
question, we can accommodate slide outs and we have 30 amp breakers for electrical use.
Conservation education programs are presented on a variety of topics to area groups and
schools. The Board also maintains a newsletter, “Conservation Connection”, published
quarterly and free of charge by contacting the office at 2039 Hwy. 71, Clarinda, IA
