County
Arrowhead Park, Neola
Arrowhead Park has a 17-acre fishing lake filled with Bluegill,
Bass, Catfish and Crappie. Visitors are invited to fish from shore,
off the equal access fishing dock, or from their own boat. Extend
your visit to Arrowhead and stay in one of the four modern
camping areas or camping cabins.
Botna Bend Park, Hancock
Botna Bend Park is a favorite for campers who enjoy a small town
atmosphere. Bison and elk herds reside in the park’s pasture areas
and give visitors the opportunity to observe these magnificent
animals up close and personal. The park is located on the West
Nishnabotna River Water Trail.
Hitchcock Nature Center, Honey Creek
This 1,274 acre preserve is located in the heart of the
Loess Hills and harbors some of the largest remaining
prairie remnants in the state. At Hitchcock, visitors
can enjoy many unique low-impact recreation
opportunities such as hiking, camping, picnicking,
bird watching, sledding, star gazing or simply
enjoying nature. Come see the view from our new 45’
observation tower and visit the Loess Hills Exhibit
Gallery!
Narrows River Park, Council Bluffs
Narrows provides boat access to the mighty Missouri
River. A covered shelter overlooking the river invites
visitors to stay and enjoy the beauty of the river and
Omaha skyline downstream.
