Description
Seasonal Naturalists work with the Clayton County Naturalists on a wide variety of supplemental
environmental education skills. Duties include leading interpretive hikes, tours, programs; designing and
constructing nature center displays; developing new environmental education/interpretive programs;
writing articles for the conservation newsletter; assisting with the Junior Naturalist Program, a summer
camp program for junior high students; and assisting with DNR wildlife monitoring programs.
Salary and Work Dates:
$8.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. Some weekend and night hours are required. Positions begin
in May and will run 14 weeks. ?
Qualifications
Applicants should have some course work in biology, ecology or natural sciences. Courses in
environmental education, interpretation, or outdoor recreation would be beneficial, but are not
