Seasonal Park Technician (2 positions)

Duties will include, under direction of Conservation Director:

• General park maintenance including mowing, weed trimming, litter pick-up, and tree planting/trimming.       
• Maintenance of park facilities including maintenance of nature center, campground shelters, and trails         
• Must be able to operate tractors, chainsaws, trimmers, mowers, and other power tools.         
• Maintenance of equipment including vehicles, tractors, mowers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and other power equipment.        
• General plumbing and electrical work. ·       
• Will also be responsible for assistance with environmental education programs.        
• Other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor.
• Some weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required.
• Work week is typically 30 hours per week with a work period approximately the middle of April until middle of September.

Physical Requirements ·      

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit knew, stoop, balance, climb, and operate all hand and power equipment for extended periods of time.         
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.        
• Ability to follow instructions, both written and oral.          
• Must be able to work outside in extreme hot, cold, rainy and other adverse weather conditions.         
• Must be able to work around smoke, dust, fumes, and loud noises.
