Description
JOB SUMMARY: Establishes a healthy classroom environment that is conducive to the advancement of student education. Maintainsaccurate students records. Assesses students' progress and development. Promotes cultural understandings and assistsin maintaining a welcoming atmosphere on campus. Assists with recruitment and retention. Maintains a professionalrapport with students and colleagues.Teach courses in conservation technology/environmental science as well as general biology courses.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Must meet minimum experience and education requirements specified by Iowa Valley Community CollegeDistrict. Approval to teach in the assigned area as defined by the Department of Education and the Higher LearningCommission (HLC), Masters in Biology, Conservation Science or related or Masters with 18 graduate credits in academicdiscipline for those teaching arts and sciences courses Relevant experience/study focused on conservationtechnology/environmental science required.Experience teaching full time in a community college setting is preferred.
ABILITIES: Must have good human relations and communications skills.
