Lake Orient Recreation Area

Henry A Wallace Marker

This 24-acre lake offers fishing, camping with electrical and water hookups, modern restroom/shower house, shelter houses, a playground, kayak dock, and a walking trail. Orient Lake provides recreation for visitors of all ages.

Location

Lake Orient is located one mile west on Highway 25 of Orient, Iowa, at 3103 Orange Avenue.

Operating Hours & Seasons

The park is open all year.  Water and electric service is available in the campground from May through September.  Shower house/restroom facility open May  through September. The campground is open from October through April with no electric or water service.  The park is open 24 hours a day with quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM each night.

Closures

  • The campground electricity and water services are turned off during the winter season and early spring from October through April.
  • Shower house/restroom building closed for winter from October through April.
