The lake showcases two great campgrounds on the south side...
Timber Ridge Campground is newly renovated with full-service or electric/water sites. Timber Ridge is nestled in the shade of many mature trees. The lake is not visible but it is not far away either. Walking trails will take you on scenic hikes through the timber to the dam, ponds, waters edge or even to the beach and picnic area. Camp spots can be reserved for mid April to mid October or first come-first serve all year on available unreserved sites, check-out is 3 PM.
Lake View Campground is a beautiful spot on the lake featuring camping and cabins. Water surrounds the campground on three sides. Lake View features full-service, electric, many waters edge tent sites and all new restrooms and showers. This area has mature trees that provide lots of shading as well as open sunny sites. There is a view of the lake at each cabin and almost every site. This campground is first come-first serve only, check-out is 6 PM.
Each campground contains a playground, horseshoe pits, trails, shower houses, water hydrants, restrooms, trash dumpsters and a dump station. Self-registration prior to 10:00 PM daily. Only registered campers allowed after 10:30 PM.
Fourteen cabins; including six full service, five of those are handicapped accessible units, are clustered in three locations at the Lake View Campground. Quietly secluded or lake front cabins, all come with a lake view. Cabins include sleeping space for six, fridge, microwave, table, benches, heat and AC, stand up grill, picnic table, fire pit and outdoor water hydrant. Full Service cabins have a kitchenette with sink and a restroom/shower. All of the full service cabins are open year round.
