A 62-acre parcel purchased from the Iowa DOT in 2002, this area features a 40-acre lake stocked with bass, bluegill, and catfish. Acquisition was financed by a private contribution (Rita & Al Goranson), a grant from the Iowa Fish Habitat Stamp Program, and Cerro Gordo County Conservation "REAP" and land acquisition account funds.
