Henderson Park


Henderson Park is a 39 acre park located along the North Raccoon River.  Most of the park is floodplain timber.  A boat ramp and fishing riffle have been developed for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.  Limited camping is available, with most campers being fishermen.  The Eureka Bridge Access boat ramp is located 4.5 miles upstream and the Squirrel Hollow boat ramp is 8.1 mies downstream.

Location

Henderson Park is located one mile south of Jefferson on Highway 4.

  • Concrete boat ramp.  8.6 miles from McMahon Access ramp upstream and 8.1 miles from Squirrel Hollow ramp downstream.
  • Fishing riffle.  Catfish, walleye, and smallmouth bass are most common species caught.  
  • Limited camping .  Four electric hookups. 
  • Open shelter with picnic tables.
  • Water hydrant and pit latrine.


Operating Hours & Seasons

Henderson Park is open all year.  Park hours are 5:30 A.M. - 10:30 P.M., except you may fish 24 hours per day.
