Bessman-Kemp Park

These 71 acres of land were given for a park and wildlife preserve in memory of John S. Kemp’s parents. The Kemps were early settlers on this land in the 1850’s. Many clubs and organizations—local, county, and district held their meetings there. The park has picnic tables, sire rings, vault restrooms and river access. Tent camping is permitted.
