This wetland covers 11 acres of land and is walk-in access with permission from adjoining land owners. This is a native wetland and is maintained as a wildlife habitat and is available to educational institutions as an outdoor classroom. This native wetland has been leased from Lois Hansen since March 1970. No picture available at this time.
Location
Hansens Wetland is located 1.5 miles southwest of Iowa Falls. Follow 140th Street 1.5 miles southwest of Iowa Falls. Follow 140th St. 1.5 miles west of Iowa Falls, then turn south for .5 miles. The wetland is 1/8th of a mile east in the section. There is no easy access to this area.
