An approx 67 acre park located on the confluence of the East and West Forks of the Des Moines River. A park which has significant History in that in the 1800's a Stockade style Fort was built on the location and used as a trading post. No remnants of the fort have been located.
The second park obtained after organization of the Conservation Boards. The park while State owned has been leased from the DNR and is under the management of the Humboldt Co. Conservation Bd.
Location
Easy access to the park from the intersections of Highways 169 and Highway 3 would be to go south on Highway 169 4 miles, east 1 mile and 1 1/2 north.

Operating Hours & Seasons
Actual camping starts April 1st until Oct 31st of each year. A full shower and bathhouse is available for the season to all campers.
No snow removal however.
Closures
Park is closed from 10:30PM to 4:00AM daily for non park users.
