Iowa County Conservation is located in southeastern Iowa and is criss-crossed by Interstate 80 and the Iowa River. Currently, the Iowa CCB manages 14 parks, wildlife areas, preserves and historic sites encompassing some 1,577 acres across the county.
A short preview: Lake Iowa Park is the largest recreational area, including a 97 acre lake, campground, nature center, bird blind and trails. Since 1962, visitors have enjoyed fishing, camping, picnicking, hiking and swimming. Winter sports such as cross-country skiing, ice fishing and winter camping are also available. Naturalist programs are offered throughout the year.
